Needham is a town under renovation
Between teardown rebuilds, additions and gut renovations, a large share of Needham houses have been a building site at some point in the last few years. Cleaning after that work is a specific job, and it is the one most often underestimated.
Construction dust is not household dust. Drywall and joint compound break down into particles fine enough to stay airborne for hours and to settle again after you have wiped a surface. That is why a single pass never holds: the room looks finished, the air settles overnight, and the next morning every horizontal surface has a grey film again. The work has to run top down, with time built in for the air to drop, and then be checked a second time.
The places it hides are predictable. Inside cabinet boxes and drawer runs. On top of door casings and window heads. Inside light fixtures and ceiling fans. In HVAC vents and returns, which will then redistribute it every time the system runs. Adhesive labels, paint flecks and caulk smears on glass and hardware need scraping, not wiping.
Timing matters as much as method. Cleaning before the trades are truly finished means paying to do it twice. We would rather be told the punch list is still open and schedule accordingly.

When should we schedule post construction cleaning?
After the last trade is out and the punch list is closed. Cleaning earlier means paying for it twice, because sanding, caulking and painting all put dust back into a finished room.
Do you clean inside cabinets and HVAC vents after construction?
Inside cabinets and drawers, yes — that is where fine dust settles and stays. Vent covers and returns are cleaned too. Cleaning inside the ductwork itself is a separate trade, and we will tell you if we think it is needed rather than doing a partial job.
